Archives of Osteoporosis z Impact Factor!
Otrzymany IF jest pierwszym przyznanym dla tego czasopisma od 2006 roku kiedy pojawił się pierwszy numer.
W oparciu o dotychczasową liczbę cytowań Archives of Osteoporosis otrzymało Impact Factor równy 2,387.
W 2015 roku prace opublikowane w czasopiśmie były cytowane 462 razy (Thomson Reuters Journal Citation Reports® 2016).
W sumie w 12 numerach ukazały się 263 prace, z czego 52 dostępne są nieodpłatnie w systemie Open Access.
Czasopismo powstało w ramach współpracy International Osteoporosis Foundation oraz National Osteoporosis Foundation (USA). Tematyka czasopisma skupia się wokół epidemiologii (różnych regionów), wytycznych w zakresie wartości referencyjnych gęstości kości i metabolizmu kostnego. Dodatkowo poruszane są kliniczne aspekty osteoporozy i innych chorób kości.

Najnowszy kwestionariusz o jakości życia w sarkopenii (SarQoL) dostępny nieodpłatnie w formie aplikacji na smartphona
SarQoL to innowacyjny i prosty w obsłudze kwestionariusz łączący problem sarkopenii i jakości życia.
Sarkopenia jest schorzeniem cechującym się upośledzeniem sprawności fizycznej, ograniczeniem ruchomości, zmniejszoną jakością życia, zwiększonym ryzykiem upadku, hospitalizacji i śmiertelności.
Na dzień dzisiejszy istniej zaledwie kilka prac pruszających zależność pomiędzy sarkopenią a zmniejszoną jakością życia (QoL).
Nowa inicjatywa
Wychodząc naprzeciw problemowi naukowcy z różnych krajów opracowali kwestionariusz oceny jakości życia, dostosowany do problemów typowych dla sarkopenii. Otrzymał on nazwę SarQoL (od Sarcopenia & Quality of Life).
Łatwy w obsłudze kwestionariusz został przygotowany z myślą o nieobjętych hospitalizacją osobach starszych (po 65 roku życia). Formularz składa się z 55 zagadnień, ujętych w 22 pytaniach, odnoszących się do 7 obszarów potencjalnych niesprawności.
Darmowa aplikacja online
Nowo opracowana aplikacja (w języku angielskim) łączaca problem sarkopenii z pogarszającą się jakością życia jest dostępnie nieodplatnie w wersji na telefony z systemem Android oraz Apple. Kwestionariusz wypełnić można korzytsając bezpośrednio z telefonu lub tabletu.
