Prof. Geraldine Altamar Canales
Geriatrics
Geraldine Altamar Canales is a Colombia- Chilean specialist in Internal medicine and geriatrics from Caldas University, the first one in Colombia with geriatrics specialization. She was student of Jose Fernando Gomez Montes, a worldwide known investigator on geriatric syndrome’s falls and fear of falling. He was her master’s degree tutor on “dizziness in older people”. When she became a geriatrician, her purpose has been teaching of geriatrics principles in general practitioners and other health professionals at primary attention in southwest in her country. Because of this interest, she participated as expert advisor on SABE Colombia survey (health, wellbeing, and ageing Colombia survey), wrote and published several review articles, chapters, and coediting Cauca University Internal medicine book.
Her main interest, osteoporosis began when as a novel geriatrician, she attended chronic disabled aged patients post hip fracture, this motivated her to study osteoporosis and helped other colleagues to understand high risk of fracture in aged patient, through lectures and participating in 2018´s Colombian Post menopausal Osteoporosis Consensus. Since 2017 she works as Professor of geriatrics in Valley University, first geriatrics specialization on Colombia´s southwest. In 2018 in a combined effort between Valley´s university and Valley´s University hospital, she co-founded Orthogeriatric unit and promoted the learning of this model of care to geriatrician, family medicine and orthopedics residents and health professionals. Effort that they have promoted with other Latin Americans colleagues in regional and world geriatric´s symposiums and congresses.
As member of Colombian Osteoporosis Association (ACOMM), she participated in directive board, until she became president for 2023-2025 period. In ACOMM, she participated in 2018´s Colombian Post menopausal Osteoporosis Consensus, publications of Colombian’s Fracture Liaisons Services results and 2018´s Colombian Post menopausal Osteoporosis Consensus. Her other areas of interest are sarcopenia and diabetes mellitus in aged, where she is a national and regional speaker.
She is excited to participated as speaker, at the 9th Central European Osteoporosis Congress and 21st Polish Congress of Osteoarthrology and looks forward to meeting her colleagues in the search for future joint working partnerships between associations.
Varta Babalyan, PhD
Family Medicine
Dr. Varta Babalyan has graduated Yerevan State Medical University in 1994. After General Practice Internship in University Clinical Hospital she has passed Residency in Family Medicine in Department of FM of YSMI. In 2003, she began working as a family doctor at the center of Family Medicine, Polyclinic N17. From 2004 to 2013 she has held senior positions in pharmaceutical representations such as Hexal, Diavant and Hoffmann-La Roche. She worked in advancing information in the field of osteoporosis for ten years. From 2014 till now she takes the position of Armenian Osteoporosis Association. And she has a great success as a result of raising information among Armenian doctors, for which she was awarded the CNS medal from the IOF. From 2016 she is the director of osteoporosis center founded by Prof. Bilezikian from Columbia University(New-York). She conducts organizational activities for the education of doctors and the public in the field of osteoporosis, conducting numerous studies, as well as medical consultations. In the list of international events, Dr. Babalyan has many international participations in medical conferences, the organization of international summits and events in Armenia with of Professor Bilezikian.

Prof. Steven Cummings
Epidemiology
Dr. Cummings is an Internal Medicine specialist and Professor of Medicine, Epidemiology, and Biostatistics at UC San Francisco. He is the Executive Director of the San Francisco Coordinating Center in the California Pacific Medical Center Research Institute. He is an internationally recognized expert on osteoporosis and prevention of fractures. He has led the large clinical trials that won FDA approval for most of the drug treatments for osteoporosis – Alendronate, Zoledronate, Denosumab, and Raloxifene. He has designed and led large longitudinal studies about risk factors for osteoporosis, including the Study of Osteoporotic Fractures for older women and MrOS for older men. He has also designed and led several of the largest and most influential studies of Aging, including the Longevity Consortium. He has over 600 peer-reviewed publications and won several awards for his research in osteoporosis including ASBMR’s William Neuman Award for Outstanding and Major Scientific Contributions and Frederick Bartter Award for Excellence in Clinical Research in Bone and Mineral Research He has also been elected to the prestigious National Academy of Medicine in the National Academy of Sciences for his contributions to Clinical Research and to Research in post-menopausal women’s health.

Prof. Andrea-Ildikó Gasparik
Public Health
Andrea-Ildikó Gasparik, M.D., Ph.D. with a 25 year experience in osteoporosis is the President of the Romanian Association for Osteoporosis Prevention. She works as Associate Professor in the Public Health and Health Management Department at the University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology GEP of Tg Mures, Romania.
Her research interests lie mainly in the area of osteoporosis, sarcopaenia and aging. She is in the editorial board of journals as Aging Clinical and Experimental Research or the Journal of Geriatric Medicine. Dr Gasparik is a member of the scientific advisory board of the ESCEO and is an expert in the WHO Clinical Consortium on Healthy Ageing (CCHA).
In order to gain a multi-perspective insight into the shortcomings of the health system, Andrea purposely went through all 3 pylons: public, private and civil spheres, working before as a hospital director, a product manager of an OP drug and leading a patient society.
She is a corresponding member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
Prof. Nataliia Grygorieva

Professor N. Grygorieva received Medical Degree in 1994 and a Ph.D. degree in 1999 at Odesa Medical University (Ukraine).
Since 2000, she is working in the Department of Clinical Physiology and Pathology of Musculoskeletal System of the State Institution „D. F. Chebotarev Institute of Gerontology of the NAMS of Ukraine”, firstly as a scientist, and since the 2021 year, she is the chief of this Department.
Prof. N. Grygorieva completed her primary training in rheumatology, she received her the Doctor of Medical Science degree in 2007 and since 2017, she is a Full Professor of medicine.
Her researches focus on the aging of the musculoskeletal system, osteoporosis and its complications, osteoarthritis, sarcopenia, vitamin D deficiency, low back pain, etc.
For many years Prof. N. Grygorieva was a Secretary of the Ukrainian Association of Osteoporosis and the Ukrainian Scientific and Medical Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics. Now, she is President of the Ukrainian Association on Osteoporosis, Vice-President of the Ukrainian Scientific and Medical Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics, and a Board Member of the Association of Rheumatologists of Ukraine. Also, she is a National OARSI Ambassador in Ukraine.
Prof. N. Grygorieva is the editor-in-Chief of the journal «Pain, joints, spine» (ISSN 2307-1133 (online)), and a member of the Editorial Board of some Ukrainian (“Orthopaedics, Traumatology and Prosthetics”) and foreign (BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders) journals.
She is an author and co-author of over 300 publications in national and international journals, more than 10 monographs, etc., and a Publon graduate reviewer.

Nicholas Harvey, MA MB BChir PhD FRCP FAOP FASBMR, trained in medicine at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. He is Professor of Rheumatology and Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Southampton and Director of the University’s MRC Lifecourse Epidemiology Centre, where he leads a programmatic structure investigating the lifecourse epidemiology, determinants and underlying mechanisms of common chronic noncommunicable musculoskeletal disorders of ageing, principally osteoporosis, sarcopenia and osteoarthritis, to inform novel preventive and therapeutic interventions. He is Chair of the International Osteoporosis Foundation Committee of Scientific Advisors; a Board Member of the European Society for Clinical and Economic Aspects of Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis and Musculoskeletal Diseases; a former Trustee of the UK Royal Osteoporosis Society (ROS) and was inaugural Vice-Chair of the ROS Osteoporosis and Bone Research Academy. He is a Fellow of the Association of Physicians of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR). He has won many national/international prizes, most recently the International Osteoporosis Foundation Olof Johnell Science Award. M Kassim Javaid, PhD
Rheumatology
Dr Javaid is an honorary consultant adult rheumatologist and Associate Professor in metabolic bone disease at the University of Oxford. He specializes in common and rare metabolic bone diseases. He is the clinical lead for Oxford Fracture Prevention Service, and the national Fracture Liaison Service Audit for England and Wales and co-chairs the International Osteoporosis Foundation Fracture Working Group. He is the clinical lead for the Oxford Rare bone disease service for adults and the Musculoskeletal Genomic Clinical Interpretation partnership. His research interests include the epidemiology of musculoskeletal diseases with a focus on rare bone disorders and secondary fracture prevention.
Prof. John kanis

Prof. John A. Kanis is Emeritus Professor in Human Metabolism, and Director of the Centre for Metabolic Bone Diseases (Formerly WHO Collaborating Centre), University of Sheffield, UK and Professorial Fellow at the Australian Catholic University (Melbourne). He is the Honorary President of the International Osteoporosis Foundation, member of its Committee of Scientific Advisors and Chairman of the Working Group on Epidemiology and Quality of Life. He is Honorary President of the European Society for Clinical and Economic Aspects of Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis. Prof. Kanis’ research interests are largely related to disorders of skeletal metabolism including osteoporosis, sarcopenia, Paget’s disease of bone, hyperparathyroidism, renal osteodystrophy and neoplasia affecting the skeleton. Contributions to research include cell biology, histomorphometry of bone, assessment and treatment of bone disorders, guideline development, health technology assessment, epidemiology, regulatory affairs and health economics. He is the Editor in Chief of Osteoporosis International and Archives of Osteoporosis, and serves on the editorial board of several journals. He is the author of more than 1000 papers, chapters and books on bone disease and metabolism. His current major interest is in the development of risk assessment algorithms and the formulation of practice guidelines in many regions of the world.
Min Kim, PhD
Epidemiology
Min Kim is the Director of Observational Research within the Center for Observational Research at Amgen Inc. He leads the real-world evidence (RWE) generation strategy for Amgen’s anti-osteoporosis therapies and has used RWE across the product lifecycle to support global label expansion, fulfill postmarketing regulatory commitments with the FDA and EMA, and inform pediatric clinical trial design and management. Much of his work involves the implementation of causal inference methods to conduct comparative effectiveness and safety studies using real-world data.
Min received his PhD in Epidemiology from Emory University and MPH in Infectious Disease Epidemiology from the Yale School of Public Health. Min previously served as an epidemiologist at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, where he led the prioritization, implementation, and evaluation of a large variety of HIV prevention programs.
Prof. Tomaz Kocjan
Endocrinology
Tomaz Kocjan is Professor of Internal Medicine and Endocrinology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana and head of the Endocrine Department, Dept. of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases, University Medical Centre Ljubljana, Slovenia. He received his MD and PhD from the University of Ljubljana. His expertise in clinical endocrinology was further developed at Royal Free Hospital and University College Hospital in London, UK. His special clinical and research interests are metabolic bone diseases, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary diseases. Prof. Kocjan became a Certified Clinical Densitometrist back in 2001. He is the principal author of the current national guidelines on postmenopausal osteoporosis, the recent Slovenian position statement on glucocorticoid osteoporosis and the on-going screening program for osteoporosis in the population over 60, which is endorsed by the Ministry of Health of Slovenia. He published extensively in peer-reviewed international and Slovenian medical journals. He authored and edited chapters in Slovenian textbooks of Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.
He is secretary of the Slovenian Bone Society, member of the IOF Committee of National Societies and board member of the Slovenian Society of Endocrinology, representing Slovenian endocrinologists at the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS). He is also a dedicated organizer of national annual courses on osteoporosis and endocrinology for GPs, including a national course in clinical densitometry under patronage of IOF in 2010, and main scientific advisor of the Slovenian Osteoporosis Patient Society.
Prof. Peter Lakatos
Endocrinology
After studies in biology and chemistry, Dr. Peter Lakatos finished medical school at the Semmelweis University, Budapest, in 1981. He started his medical career at the 1st Department of Medicine, Semmelweis University. Between 1989 and 1992 he worked with Prof. Paula Stern at the Department of Pharmacology, Northwestern University, Chicago, studying intracellular signal transduction in bone cells. In 1993, he returned to the Semmelweis University but remained a faculty member at the Northwestern University until 1998. Currently, he is a full professor of medicine and endocrinology at the Department of Medicine and Oncology, as well as head of the Clinical Research Laboratory, at the Semmelweis University.
Dr. Lakatos and his research group have actively participated in the development and introduction of biochemical and densitometric methods in the management and research of osteoporosis. In the 80’s, he was among first to develop a commercial osteocalcin radioimmunoassay. He directs basic and clinical research programs in the field of metabolic bone diseases with a special interest in osteoporosis and thyroid hormone-stimulated bone loss. During the last decade, his major interest has been in the genetic background of metabolic bone diseases as well as thyroid cancer. Dr. Lakatos also conducts drug development studies. He has authored more than 400 full length scientific articles and book chapters. Amongst other posts, Dr. Lakatos has acted as the President of the Hungarian Society for Osteoporosis and Osteoarthrology (1999-2005) and was a board member of the European Society for Calcified Tissues (1997-2007).
Prof. E. Michael Lewiecki
E. Michael Lewiecki, MD, FACP, FACE, CCD, FASBMR, is Director of New Mexico Clinical Research & Osteoporosis Center and Director of Bone Health ECHO at University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center in Albuquerque, NM. He is a consultant in osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases; supervisor and interpreter of bone density studies; clinical researcher; and educator. His research interests have been focused on evaluating new treatments for osteoporosis and rare bone diseases and developing technology-enabled communities of practice to expand capacity to deliver best practice skeletal health care worldwide. He has been principal investigator for many osteoporosis clinical trials and is author of over 350 publications in peer-reviewed medical journals with more than 30,000 citations, as well as books, book chapters, and online publications on osteoporosis.
Dr. Lewiecki is past-president of the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) and founding president of the Osteoporosis Foundation of New Mexico (OFNM). Dr. Lewiecki is the program director of the annual Santa Fe Bone Symposium, the flagship activity of the OFNM. He is Review Editor for Osteoporosis International, and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Densitometry.
He has received national and international awards that include the 2021 “Dr. John P. Bilezikian ISCD Global Leadership Award” and the 2021 “Lawrence G. Raisz Memorial Lecture Award” with the Bone Health & Osteoporosis Foundation.
Prof. GHASSAN MAALOUF
Orthopedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system
Ghassan Maalouf is a Professor of Clinical Orthopaedic Surgery at Bellevue Medical Center and the Chairman of the Musculoskeletal Department as well as the Medical Director and Vice-President of Medical Affairs. The musculoskeletal department in his own hospital Bellevue Medical Center is a partner of Lund University WHO collaborating center for “Evidence – Based Healthcare in Musculoskeletal Disorders”, JCI accredited and Planetree accredited.
He was appointed at the Faculty of Medicine– St. Joseph University on top of his same title at Balamand University. Dr Maalouf is the founder of the Lebanese Osteoporosis Prevention Society (LOPS). He is also the founder of the Pan Arab Osteoporosis Prevention Society (PAOS) and its Honorary Chairman.
With over 250 published articles, the main concern of Dr Maalouf is to fight Osteoporosis and to focus on the problem of Fragility Fractures.
In June 2006, he received the first IOF-Presidential award for his achievements and research done in the field of osteoporosis, with JOPS, he was instrumental in the nomination of Queen Rania as IOF Patron and in the creation of 206 bone fund with the late Prof. Pierre Delmas, and they raised one million dollars for IOF. He was awarded with the honorary membership of SOFCOT.
He coordinated the work to produce the first CD on fragility fracture at IOF and helped in the creation of many patient societies in many region of the world, and dedicated a lot of his time to help many international societies in many projects: Toscani, women round table, European Parliament (several meetings), and acted closely with scientists across the world and was always ready to help patient societies in organizing activities to raise awareness about “Osteoporosis” and fragility fractures. He is an international speaker in his field.
For the past ten years, he was able to organize a yearly scientific meeting in Lebanon and ongoing awareness of the musculoskeletal diseases. Lebanon has the highest public awareness of osteoporosis in the world due to LOPS activities. (IPSOS/IOF study).
Above all this, he reviewed many articles, presented for publications.
He worked closely with Lebanese Health professionals to cover osteoporosis drugs given to patients.
Prof. Michael McClung
Endocrinology
Dr. McClung is an endocrinologist with a special interest in metabolic bone diseases and disorders of calcium metabolism. As Founding (now Emeritus) Director of the Oregon Osteoporosis Center in Portland, Dr McClung has, for the past 4 decades, cared for patients with osteoporosis and related conditions. He developed quality control procedures for bone density testing and was the principal investigator in several of the major clinical trials of osteoporosis treatments. He is the author of many peer-reviewed manuscripts and invited papers. Dr McClung currently serves on the Board of the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) and on the editorial boards of several journals related to metabolic bone diseases. He has participated in the development of osteoporosis guidelines for several national and international organizations. He has received teaching and research awards from several societies, including the Olof Johnell Science Award of the IOF, and is frequently invited as a speaker/teacher at national and international conferences.

Prof. Socrates Papapoulos

Socrates Papapoulos is Emeritus Professor in Diseases of Bone and Mineral Metabolism at the University of Leiden and Advisor at the Center for Bone Quality of the Leiden University Medical Center, the Netherlands. He was trained in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology in Athens, GR and London, UK and since 1974 has been engaged in basic and clinical research, patient care and teaching. He has served on numerous boards and committees including the Board and the Scientific Advisory Board of the IOF, the Board of Directors of the ECTS and the IBMS and the European Union committee for the prevention of osteoporosis.
A former Director of Bone and Mineral Research at the Leiden University Medical Center and President of the Dutch Society for Calcium and Bone Metabolism, Dr Papapoulos is recipient, among other, of the Boy Frame Memorial Award and the Frederic C Bartter Award of the ASBMR, the John Haddad Jr Award of the IBMS, the JB Johnson Award of the Paget’s Foundation, USA, the Steven Boonen Award of ECTS , the Pierre Delmas Award of the IOF and he is Doctor Honoris Causa of the Universities of Athens and Thessaloniki. His past and present editorial duties include Bone and Mineral, Bone, BONEKey, Clinical Endocrinology, Endocrine, Expert Reviews Endocrinology and Metabolism, Nature Reviews Endocrinology, Osteoporosis International, Osteoporosis Reports. Jean-Yves Reginster M.D., Ph.D. is currently Outstanding Professor of Epidemiology, Public Health and Health Economics as well as Professor of Bioethics and Societal Medicine at the University of Liège where he also serves as the Honorary Chair of the Bone and Cartilage Metabolism Unit. He is the Director of the Division of Public Health, Epidemiology and Health Economics at the University of Liège and Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Epidemiology of Musculoskeletal Health and Aging He is an active researcher who has authored more than 900 publications, mainly dedicated to the pathophysiology, epidemiology, health economics, clinical and translational aspects of osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, frailty and sarcopenia. Amongst his other professional activities, Professor Reginster is President of the European Society for Clinical and Economic Aspects of Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis (ESCEO), Co-Founder and Board member of the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF), where he serves as President of the Committee of National Societies (CNS). He previously served as Adjunct Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington DC, USA and as Visiting Professor at the Chair for Biomarkers of Chronic Diseases, Department of Biochemistry, College of Science, King Saud University, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He was the Belgian alternate member for the Efficacy Working Party at the Committee for Human Proprietary Medicines (CHMP) of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) where he acted as rapporteur/co-rapporteur for the guidelines for the registration of drugs to be used in the management of osteoporosis and osteoarthritis. Heinrich Resch is Professor at the Medical University of Vienna and holds the Chair of Clinical Osteology at the Medical Faculty of Sigmund Freud University, Center for Internal Medicine 2 in Vienna. Prof. RUPESH KUMAR SRIVASTAVA
Dr. Rupesh K. Srivastava is an Associate Professor, in the Department of Biotechnology at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. He is a translational researcher and academician with expertise in Cellular and Molecular Immunology. He obtained his Ph.D. from National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS), Pune, and post-doctoral training at both Columbia University Medical Centre, New York and Roswell Park Cancer Institute, New York, USA. Dr. Srivastava is an Elected Executive Committee Member (2022-24) of the Indian Immunology Society (IIS). He is credited with discovering the pivotal role of the immune system in the pathophysiology of osteoporosis, a novel field proposed by him as “Immunoporosis” (Immunology of Osteoporosis). His research is featured among Elsevier’s “Bone Reports” “Top-Downloaded and Top-Cited authors” list. His Translational Immunology, Osteoimmunology, and Immunoporosis Lab (TIOIL) at AIIMS is actively involved in deciphering the cellular and molecular interactions between the Immune and Bone systems under both healthy and diseased/infectious (COVID-19, etc.) conditions. Dr. Srivastava is the recipient of the TETCs-Best Published Research Paper Award-2023, AIIMS Research Excellence Award-2022, the prestigious “G. P. Talwar Young Scientist Award”- TWICE (IIS-2011 and ISSRF-2019), and Science Communicator Award-2017. He is also a GOLD Medalist (08) during his Master’s. He has executed more than 13 major research projects as a PI being funded by national agencies such as DBT, DST, ICMR, CCRH-AYUSH, and AIIMS, along with several MOUs with International Universities and Industries. Dr. Srivastava has authored close to 100 peer-reviewed research publications in NCBI-Pubmed indexed journals of international repute. His current H-index is 19, i10 index is 35, with total citations of 1800 and a total impact factor close to 500. He has published his novel research work in various international journals such as Science Advances, Journal of Immunology, Cells, Inflammation Research, Phytomedicine Plus, Environmental Pollution, Oncoimmunology, Frontiers in Immunology, Scientific Reports, Bone Reports, Cytokine etc. along with editing one book. Dr. Srivastava has supervised 07 students for the Ph.D. degree, and more than 25 PG students have worked under his mentorship for their internships and post-graduate dissertations.

Geriatrics
Nathalie van der Velde is a consultant and full professor at the Geriatrics Department of the Amsterdam UMC, The Netherlands. She serves as principal investigator and leader of the research line ‘person-centered falls & fracture prevention’. Since 2022 she is a member of the Academic Board of the European Geriatric Medicine Society (EuGMS).
With regard to editorial tasks she has started as an Associate Editor for Age & Ageing in 2019 and has been appointed Deputy Editor-in-Chief in 2022. Furthermore, she is an Associate Editor of the Annals of Medicine.
Nathalie is both nationally and internationally involved in activities to improve falls and fracture prevention. She chairs the EuGMS SIG Falls and Fractures and its Task and Finish Group on fall-risk-increasing drugs and as of this year she is the EuGMS representative at the board of the Fragility Fracture Network. She is also a co-chair of the steering group of the World Falls Guideline initiative, and co-lead its polypharmacy working group. Furthermore, She is a member of the organizing committee of the World Congress on Falls and Postural Stability.
On a national level, she is co-founder and chair of the board of the annual Dutch Falls Symposium. Besides, she chairs the Dutch SIG on Falls prevention and she is a member of the board of the Dutch Syncope and Autonomic Disorders group and of the steering committee of the Dutch Falls and Dizziness Guidelines cluster. She has (co-)authored various book chapters on falls prevention, syncope/TLOC and pharmacology/deprescribing and has published over 200 peer-reviewed articles.

Prof. E. Czerwiński współpracował z Prof. Johnem Kanisem przy tworzeniu kalkulatora FRAX® dla populacji polskiej. Był powołany do panelu ekspertów pracujących nad standardami międzynarodowymi dotyczącymi m.in.: postępowania po złamaniu osteoporotycznym EULAR/ EFORT i zalecanego poziomu Witaminy D3 IOF. W 2001 roku obronił doktorat w Collegium Medicum Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego na podstawie pracy „Diagnozowanie osteoporozy w zesztywniającym zapaleniu stawów kręgosłupa”. Autor ponad 100 publikacji medycznych w czasopismach polskich i zagranicznych oraz ponad 200 doniesień zjazdowych na zjazdach polskich i zagranicznych. Większa ich część poświęcona osteodystrofii nerkowej i osteoporozie.
Udział w wielu konferencjach krajowych i zagranicznych dotyczących głównie osteoporozy i osteodystrofii nerkowej.
W 1994 roku organizacja i prowadzenie do dzisiaj Pracowni Densytometrii szpitala UCK WUM dzięki przygotowanym przez siebie dwóm grantom (Polska Fundacja na Rzecz Nauki Polskiej i Komitet Badań Naukowych) na pozyskanie aparatów densytometrycznych.
Przez prawie 30 lat praca w Krajowym Centrum Osteoporozy. Przez okres kilkunastu lat jako dyrektor medyczny KCO.

Reumatologia
Ukończyła Akademię Medyczną w Warszawie. Ma za sobą długą dod podstaw medycyny w Rejonowych poradniach do prowadzeni praktycznych wykładów w stworzonej przez siebie w 2005 roku Interdyscyplinarnej Akademii Medycyny Praktycznej IAMP. Od lekarza ZOZ w Rykach, lekarza w Fabryce Domów ZOZ-u Przemysłowego w Skarżysku-Kamiennej, Rejonowej Poradni Reumatologicznej w Warszawie przez stanowisko asystenta w Klin Reumatologii Instytutu Reumatologii w Warszawie, następnie kierownika Poradni Reumatologicznej w Instytucie Reumatologii Dyrektora naukowego Interdyscyplinarnej Akademii Medycyny Praktycznej IAMP prowadzącej działalność edukacyjną dla lekarzy rodzinnych i lekarzy reumatologów na terenie całej Polski. Jest autorem lub współautorem wielu publikacji i książek o charakterze edukacyjnym oraz licznych wykładów na wielu ogólnopolskich konferencjach lekarskich różnych towarzystw naukowych.

Kierownik Zakładu Zaburzeń Endokrynnych i Metabolizmu Kostnego, Katedry Endokrynologii Uniwersytetu Medycznego w Łodzi.
Kierownik Poradni Endokrynologicznej i Regionalnego Ośrodka Menopauzy i Osteoporozy Uniwersyteckiego Szpitala Klinicznego im. WAM w Łodzi.
Ukończyła Wydział Lekarski Akademii Medycznej w Łodzi. Specjalista chorób wewnętrznych i endokrynologii. Od 2005 r. kieruje Zakładem Zaburzeń Endokrynnych i Metabolizmu Kostnego UM w Łodzi i zajmuje się zaburzeniami kostnymi, w tym osteoporozą.
W latach 1990 1993 i 2002-2008 pełniła funkcję przewodniczącej Oddziału Łódzkiego Polskiego Towarzystwa Endokrynologicznego. Jest członkiem Polskiego i Europejskiego Towarzystwa Endokrynoogicznego, oraz Polskiego i Międzynarodowego Towarzystwa Neuroendokrynologii. Od 2005 roku jest członkiem Łódzkiego Towarzystwa Naukowego. Jest prezesem Stowarzyszenia Scholaris im. Prof. Wandy Horst-Sikorskiej, które konyunuuje także tradycje Wielodyscyplinarnego Forum Osteoporotycznego.
W latach 1993-1995 odbyła 2 staże zagraniczne: w Paryżu – w Klinice Immunologii Szpitala Neckera na stypendium przyznanym przez Ministerstwo Technologii Rządu Francuskiego (V 1993 – II 1994) r. oraz w San Antonio w Teksasie na stypendium amerykańskim (Fogarty Fellowship) (IV 1994 – VIII 1995).
Główne kierunki badawcze Zakładu Zaburzeń Endokrynnych i Metabolizmu Kostnego UM w Łodzi: 1. Ocena ekspresji genów OPG/RANK/RANKL oraz zmian ilościowych produktów białkowych tych genów w komórkach jednojądrzastych krwi obwodowej po terapii ibandronianem, strontem. 2. Ocena przestrzegania zasad terapii preparatem alendronian 70 u pacjentek leczonych z powodu osteoporozy – rola czynników motywujących w praktyce lekarskiej. 3. Ocena zależności pomiędzy stężeniami estradiolu i testosteronu a parametrami metabolizmu kostnego u mężczyzn chorujących na osteoporozę. 4. Ocena 10-letniego ryzyka złamań za pomocą kalkulatora FRAX i monogramu NGYUEN u pacjentów leczonych z powodu osteoporozy. 5. Ocena zapotrzebowania na witaminę D w grupie kobiet w okresie budowania szczytowej masy kostnej. 6. Ocena procesów pro- i przeciwzapalnych oraz immunologicznych u pacjentek z autoimmunologicznych zapaleniem tarczycy w stanie eutyreozy w trakcie suplementacji witaminą D. 7 Ocena predyspozycji genetycznej do złamań u pacjentek z niską masą kostną i osteoporozą. 8. Ocena nowych markerów obrotu kostnego u pacjentek z osteoporozą pomenopauzalną i ich korelacji z ryzykiem złamań.

Specjalista chorób wewnętrznych i geriatrii, zatrudniona w Katedrze Chorób Wewnętrznych i Gerontologii Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego Collegium Medicum oraz w Oddziale Klinicznym Chorób Wewnętrznych Szpitala Uniwersyteckiego w Krakowie, v-ce przewodnicząca Zarządu Głównego Polskiego Towarzystwa Gerontologicznego, autor ponad 150 pełnotekstowych publikacji naukowych, w tym również rozdziałów w podręcznikach geriatrii dla studentów, lekarzy i pielęgniarek oraz ponad 120 wystąpień na krajowych i zagranicznych konferencjach naukowych, kierownik i wykonawca licznych projektów naukowych prowadzonych w populacji geriatrycznej. Ortopedia i traumatologia narządu ruchu
Ukończyłem studia na wydziale lekarskim Akademii Medycznej im. Mikołaja Kopernika w Krakowie, w roku 1985. W latach 1987 -2019 pracowałem w nowo powstałym oddziale ortopedii i traumatologii dziecięcej w Uniwersyteckim Szpitalu Dziecięcym w Krakowie. Uzyskałem tytuł specjalisty w ortopedii i traumatologii. Naukowo zaś tytuł profesora medycyny. Od roku 2020 pracuję w Wojewódzkim Specjalistycznym Szpitalu Dziecięcym im. św. Ludwika w Krakowie. Od roku 2009 pracuję także w NZOZ CenterMed, w Krakowie. Moja praca, jest moim hobby. Szczególną satysfakcję daje mi możliwość operowania (wady wrodzone biodra, stopy), nabyte deformacje w zakresie kończyn oraz zmiany kostne. Moje szczególne zainteresowania dotyczą chorób rzadkich, a wśród nich: Osteogenesis Imperfecta /prowadzę leczenie farmakologiczne i operacyjne tych dzieci/; CRMO – przewlekłe zapalenie kości niebakteryjne /diagnostyka i leczenie farmakologiczne/; osteoporoza wtórna.

Andrzej Żyluk is a general and hand surgeon. Age 66 years, born in 1956 in Szczecin, Poland. Graduated in 1981 from Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin. MD thesis in 1992, habilitation thesis in 1998 in Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin. Head of the Department of General and Hand Surgery, Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin, since 1999. Professor of Surgery in 2004. President of Polish Society for Surgery of the Hand 2009-2013. Overseas member of British Society for Surgery of the Hand. FESSH Hand Diploma obtained in 2012. Member of the European Board of Hand Surgery. Delegate of EBHS to European Union of Medical Specialties (UEMS). Author of more than 300 articles on hand surgery, general surgery and teaching surgery. Author of 17 books: 14 in hand surgery, 2 in general surgery and one in teaching surgery, all in Polish language. Editor of first Polish Textbook in Hand Surgery. Main topics of scientific interest: Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, distal radial fractures, carpal tunnel syndrome, teaching surgery. Actually involved in research grant on genetics of carpal tunnel syndrome.
